I went on my latest adventure with the hopes of getting closer to nature. I wanted to connect with the earth, feel the soil against my skin, and bond more deeply than ever before. While I did achieve all of that, I found something truly incredible. A perspective I hadn't seen before. I'll never forget the moment I looked up and saw this view from under the trees. The way the leaves shimmer against the sunlight. The sound they make as they dance together. The canopy of shade they create, cooling off everything below. I spent the entire week lying under these trees, never growing tired of this feeling.
On the last day, a small branch with 3 leaves fell onto me. I smiled as I inspected it, knowing that now I will get to bring a piece of this heaven home with me. When I got up, I realized there weren't many leaves on the ground. It was like the trees were giving me a gift. I can't wait to go back next year and lay under the trees.
